I think it is a good time to evaluate where I am and what my goals should be. I am learning that it is not massive change all at once that matters, rather it is slow change over time that is crucial. I believe that is why I fail at most things that I do.

I started a direct sales opportunity 3 weeks ago, and it has been difficult to find anyone who shares that same passion for it that I do. I mean, it is a whole food supplement program, that makes getting the nutrients you need everyday easy. It also allows you to take control of your working life, and create income for yourself. Seems like a win win, but so far, not a single person I know is interested. Too many people have been hurt by the hope and promise of health and wealth.

I am beginning to realize, it isn’t about them or the product, but it is about me. I need to be a better version of me, before anyone will want to hear anything I have to say. After all this year has not been about getting rich quick, or losing tons of weight fast. No, it has been about documenting my poor choices and trying to change them.

With that in mind, here is a list of goals I would like to pursue. Nothing major, but over time I think they could have a real impact:

  • 3 x a week walk 1 mile. This should take about 30 min each time I do it. That does not sound so bad.
  • Read everyday. I already read scriptures everyday. It has been my 1 good habit. I would like to add 10 pgs. of a book in addition to the scriptures.
  • Listen to 30 min. of motivational material during the week. The Jim Rohn’s, Darren Hardy’s, Les Brown’s, Tony Robbin’s of the world can be found on YouTube and I need to do that in the morning instead of checking Twitter and Facebook.
  • Eat 125 less calories everyday. That does not sound so bad. Perhaps not eating after 6 pm will do the trick.
  • Drink 2 bottles (large) of water everyday.
  • Get 5 people to tell me no, when I approach them in direct sales each week. This may not sound like a big deal, but this is a side gig and just talking to 5 people about this is difficult for me. Getting them to tell me no, should not be too difficult.

So, that is it for now. The difficulty is that there is no immediate reward to doing this, and it could produce some pain, but over time I want to test what will happen. I hope it will be reflected in this blog at some future time.
