On Saturday, I decided to take my workout up a notch. I decided to try a 5k on the treadmill and aim for 45 min. This meant I had to average 4 MPH, which is a fast walk or jog.
That Time I Drowned in the River
Call this experience what you will, but I can have no doubt that there is a God and that He is there for us.
Getting Ahead of Myself
I was feeling really good on Tuesday, like super good, so I decided when we went to the gym that I wanted to try to complete a 5k on the treadmill. When we go on our cardio days I typically walk at 3 mph for 45 - 50 min. This is enough to get the blood moving, and with the ups and downs of the treadmill it gives me a decent workout for a beginner.
Network Marketing
I do a really poor job of network marketing. Kyani is a great company with great products and I need to promote it better. I put a "Store" link at the top of this page and to the side under the "Triangle of Health" if you think it is right for you.

Columbus Day
I think it is great that we celebrate Columbus Day. I work for a bank and as such I will get the day off to celebrate. I am not just thankful for the day off, though I am thankful for it, but because I believe Columbus and his achievement should be celebrated. I know that is not a popular opinion in this day and age, and that is something to be regretted.
Budget Woes
I suck at budgeting. I believe it is the single reason we are poor and continue to be poor. Seems like such a simple idea and yet I never do it. I never tell my money where to go and before I know it, it is all gone.
Pay Yourself First
One of the first important principles in the classic, Richest Man in Babylon, is to pay yourself first. When I first read this passage as a young adult, I had zero debt and zero obligations. I decided to give this a try and put away 10% of everything that I earned.
More Small Victories
Something pretty cool happened at the gym yesterday. Last month my wife and I went to the gym doing cardio 3 times a week and weights 2 times a week. This was just to get us into going to the gym and being consistent.
Small Victories
Yesterday was a telling day. My wife and I had taken last week off from the gym and life, because we were ill. It would be so easy to fall into the trap of not caring anymore, but we wanted to get back to where we left off.
